Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has promised to increase his investments in the blockchain sector. He announced his new plans on his X account on September 29.

The latter took this decision after serving a four-month prison sentence in the United States. He had been accused of violating US banking secrecy laws and pleaded guilty in November 2023 before the courts.

Despite a $50 million fine and significant legal charges, Changpeng Zhao retains a substantial personal fortune, mainly thanks to his stake in Binance. So it doesn’t seem that Zhao’s reputation is all that damaged, despite the scale of his recent affairs.

Zhao to Focus on Education and Charity

In addition to its ongoing investments in blockchain, Zhao has also announced its intention to focus on its educational project. The latter is called Giggle Academy.

Indeed, this initiative aims to provide free basic education worldwide for levels 1 to 12. The complete solution will incorporate gamification, adaptive learning, and blockchain technology.

Zhao would obviously like to turn the page by concentrating on this type of activity. He also plans to devote more time and resources to charity and education.

A New Book in Preparation

Zhao revealed that he is currently working on a book, two-thirds of which he has already completed. It should provide information on his various experiences. It would also set out his own vision and perspectives on the blockchain industry.

Moreover, Zhao seems intent on demonstrating his commitment to the blockchain sector and his philanthropic efforts. Indeed, these actions highlight his belief in the potential of these technologies to have a positive impact on the world.
